El Paso Comic Con is gearing up for an epic weekend of pop culture, cosplay, and celebrity guests. We want YOU to cover it!

Looking for professionals working in any of the following industries: Blog/Podcast, Broadcast (television or radio), Digital/ Online, Print (newspaper or magazines)

Please be aware that submission of an application does NOT guarantee a Media Badge at El Paso Comic Con.

Badges are limited and will be reviewed on a first come first serve basis.

You’ll be notified of badge approval status within 4 weeks of when you submitted your application.

There will be no onsite application approvals at El Paso Comic Con.

All El Paso Comic Con policies must be followed.

Media registration closes one week prior to event.

Media registration is open to journalists making regular editorial contributions only. Editorial Press includes Writers, Reporters, Reviewers, Producers, Photographers, and Cameramen who are attending specifically to cover El Paso Comic Con. Non-Editorial personnel at media companies do not qualify for Press Passes. This includes Marketing and Sales staff, who will not be approved. Friends and family of Editorial Press also do not qualify for Press Registration.

Complimentary media credentials are extended as a courtesy. Attendees and featured guests are valued. We strive to provide an enjoyable experience for them. Therefore, all media representatives are expected to maintain a friendly environment. This applies to attendees, vendors, guests, and staff at all times. Violation of convention policies or press/media rules will result in revocation of your credentials.

Press Passes are non-transferable. You will not loan or sell your Media Badge. Anyone conducting such behavior will have their Media Badge revoked. They will also be disqualified from Media Badges at future Fatman Events events.

If approved for Media Badges, your badges will be available for pickup in the check-in area. You can find it in the Mount Franklin Lobby of the El Paso Convention Center. Press Badges are not mailed in advance.

ELIGIBILTY REQUIREMENTS

  • Pre-show coverage of El Paso Comic Con is required BEFORE media credentials will be approved
  • Proof of pre-show coverage is required no later than 30 days prior to event to receive your media credentials
  • Editorial press members include journalists, reporters, reviewers, podcasters, etc. who are attending for the sole purpose of covering El Paso Comic Con for an editorial media outlet
  • Photographers & videographers without media credentials are not permitted to perform professional photography/videography services or activities on-site without prior, express, written permission
  • Photography business websites, social media pages, personal blogs, fan sites, and community forums will not be considered for media credentials

WHAT IS NOT ALLOWED

  • Your media badge does NOT allow access to celebrity spaces without permission
  • Your media badge does NOT guarantee interviews with guests
  • Your media badge does NOT allow access behind staff only entrances
  • Your media badge does NOT allow you to ask for discounts on merchandise, or other “freebies”
  • Your media badge does NOT allow you to cut lines
  • Your media badge does NOT guarantee you seats
  • Your media badge does NOT guarantee you free autographs from guests
